Team Canada defeated Team USA 4-1 on Friday, January 4, 2008, during the World Junior Championship at CEZ Arena in Pardubice, Czech Republic.  The result put Team Canada into the gold medal game and Team USA into the bronze medal game. Sanguinetti plays for the Brampton Battalion and was drafted 21st overall in 2006 by the New York Rangers while Turris plays for the University of Wisconsin Badgers and was drafted third overall in 2007 by the Phoenix Coyotes.
