USA Hockey held the 2009 National Junior Evaluation Camp at Lake Placid, New York, from August 7 - August 15, 2009. 42 players eligible to play for Team USA at the 2010 World Junior (U20) Championship took part in daily scrimmages August 7 - August 9. Following the August 9 scrimmage, the US roster was cut to 29 players who competed in 4 games versus Team Russia over the remainder of the camp.
