University of North Dakota teammates Taylor Chorney (Hastings, Minnesota - University of North Dakota) and Jonathan Toews (Winnipeg, MB - University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux) battle for position. Team Canada defeated Team USA 2-1 by winning the seventh round of the shootout on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Ejendals Arena in Leksand, Sweden. The result gave Team Canada the opportunity to play for the gold medal and Team USA the opportunity to play for the bronze medal.
